Watch all 11 minutes of this story, I promise it’s worth your time.
Sometimes you find those stories that challenge your perceptions, shift your personal biases, and alter your superficial judgements of those around you.
If I were ever to see Rad fight, catch him on ESPN, I’d probably think that he was no more than a brut MMA fighter. But Rad is more than cool, he is deep. He’s not only a collegiate all American wrestler, and the #1 MMA fighter in Utah, but he holds a Masters degree and has a deep commitment to family.
Family runs deep, and it shows in Rad’s family. The type of love Rad and his grandmother have demonstrated in this wonderful short film, reminds me that these familial bonds we experience while on earth are really other worldly. They are not just some learned behavior, but they run deep within our spiritual DNA, and are really all that we have of our past and all that will really matter in the future.
Stories where characters are placed in circumstances of personal sacrifice for the good of others are rare in our day and age, or at least they are not told as much as are superficial super-hero stories. That is precisely why I love Rad’s story, he is an unlikely hero figure that quietly goes about doing his duty.
Rad you’ve inspired me and I wish you the best in your journey.
God speed your success and happiness in life.
