The Fallen of World War II is a data-driven documentary about war and peace that will make you stop and think, and hopefully be grateful for the time in which we live.
Data-driven story telling can have a unique impact, and this short film is a wonderful example of applying the right type of story telling technique that enhances the story being told, rather than merely applying technique for the technique’s or novelty’s sake.
While the conflict of war has generally subsided in the last 60 years, is the world truly more at peace? It could easily be argued that peace is a relative term. If we are talking about peace in terms of lives lost as defined as ‘casualties of war’, then yes, we are experiencing peace. However, as a whole, is the world, are individuals, experiencing peace? That’s definitely a question for the soul.
Do you feel at peace in today’s world?
